Some of us start yoga to help to reduce back pain, manage stress, help us run faster or simply help us keep running.
And after a while we discover we got more than what we first came for.
We find out that our yoga practice can help us weather the weather.
Because yoga is not about bliss, or posture, or chanting words you don't understand.
We practice yoga so we have OPTIONS.
We learn through a bunch of hard work that we don't have to be passive and ACCEPT an aching back or a wandering mind even though that is usually the default choice.
We discover our yoga practice can hold up......that our yoga practice can hold us up when storms are knocking down less reliable construction.....and then we can stand and not get distracted by the weather report.
And decide for ourselves what to pay attention to.
