Time invested

If we take yoga classes for ten years what does that mean?

Besides that we have taken yoga classes for ten years?

Learning is in NO WAY linear.

The effectiveness of our practice is not directly dependent on how long we have been practicing.

Of COURSE we need time.

Yet we need something more than minutes logged.

At least if we are looking for something more than minutes logged.

To build a skillful practice, to build something that works when we NEED our yoga to work, depends upon an entirely different framework from "how long have you been practicing yoga.

To build a practice that works depends on the material we are learning.

To build a practice that works depends on if we are LEARNING something that works for us.

To build a practice that works depends on HOW are able to repeat what has worked in class and community so we can confidently practice on our own.

Time invested is important.

But is not the only thing.
